Glass Sculpture
My organic sculptures begin as a flat sheet of glass. Each layer of petals is hand-cut on a glass saw and then textured using hand-made, one time use plaster molds. Layers are then slumped in such a way that they nest perfectly together. Each five layer rose sculpture requires 9 to 10 kiln firings or over 200 hours each in the kiln.
